Spirit Billboards In Los Angeles
April 14, 2008IESB and Filmschoolrejects received these two photos of billboards for The Spirit, which have started popping up all over Los Angeles.


I get how The Dark Knight started to employ internet-centric, viral marketing campaigns a year before the film’s release, but for Lionsgate (the studio behind The Spirit) to actually erect costly billboards eight months before its theatrical debut boggles the mind. It gets the people’s attention, sure, but will it pay off in the end?
I suppose we’ll find out when The Spirit premieres in January.
