I know, this wasn’t due until tomorrow, but I just couldn’t wait. Anyway, before we move on with the details as to who will be playing Sand Saref, Ellen Dolan, and Morgenstern, I would just like to react to an issue that Ade brought up recently, regarding the film’s look.

 

Ade asks: Uncle Cockles, why (does the movie look) so Sin City-ish?

 

Dear Ade,

 

Thank you for your letter. The full-frontal nude photo which you enclosed was totally unnecessary, and probably illegal. The guy who runs Comicology might find it "useful," though.

 

Anyway, regarding your query. I suppose we can blame the film’s look on the director being Frank Miller, and Sin City being a great-ish, successful-like, and awesome-y.

 

However, we haven’t seen any actual footage from the film; for all we know this could all simply be a marketing ploy. The end product could be totally different from how we perceive it now. It could turn our brains into shit with its sheer awesomacity.

 

But it could also be worse.

 

Just like babies. They’re really cute most of the time, but when they turn around four or five years old, you just get that natural feeling of wanting to shove them onto incoming traffic.

Casting Cabana: The Spirit (Johansson, King, Vega)

First of all, I would just like to once again apologize for the sausage attack from a couple of days back. But like I said, I’ll make up for it. I found it best to simply do away with all the dudes, get it over with, and finish off with the ladies.

 

Over the next couple of days, I shall treat you to an ambush of vagine, “a poonslaught,” if you will (All time low, Cinemabuzz writer guy. All time low.), courtesy of the ladies of The Spirit.

 

Let’s start with the women whose intentions are to tear our hero a new one – The Villains.

There’s been some confusion as to what Scarlett Johansson’s character’s name really is, but I’m sticking with Silk N. Floss for now. The other name that’s been thrown in the mix is Silken Floss, by the way.

 

Ms. Floss is the right-hand-woman to The Octopus. She fancies donning various costumes and disguises, like her master, and like me when my parents aren’t around.
