The Spirit Teaser Finally Online!
April 20, 2008
And I’m pretty sure this is kind of illegal, but what the hell. I credited MTV.com anyway.
Sin City had a vibe which translated impeccably to the screen, and it’s becoming very clear that Frank Miller is going to pattern The Spirit after it.
Honestly, I wasn’t all too familiar and this immensed with the source material until after I found out about a big screen version being made, so I have no qualms. As a general film aficionado and an occasional comic book fan, I really, really, really am excited to see this.
MTV also has some interviews up with Frank Miller and Eva Mendes which you can view by clicking here.
So what do you guys think? Does anyone have any complaints as to the film’s apparent unfaithfulness to Eisner’s work?
Weekly Roundup: 04/20/08
So we got screwed over by the countdown. I did some sleuthing and found out that The Spirit Panel over at the New York Comic Con is scheduled to roll out at 4:15 PM EST, which is approximately three hours from now.
So if someone will be able to upload footage from the event, let alone be able to shoot some, we’ll get them to you as soon as possible.
But for now, here be this week’s dose of The Roundup:
1. Speaking of the New York Comic Con, here’s the NYCC-Exclusive poster for Hellboy II: The Golden Army, illustrated by the legendary Drew Struzan, courtesy of the guys at CHUD:

3. Empire has put up an interview with M. Night Shyamalan regarding his film adaptation of The Last Airbender. “Avatar” had to be dropped because James Cameron is already working on a major, major, major film carrying the name.
