Killdroid Teaser! And More Photos!
June 22, 2008So I did a little more sleuthing on this upcoming film that I wrote about before. The film is called Killdroid: A Mechanical Love Affair, and is directed by Filipino auteur Rico Maria Ilarde. Anyway, it turns out that the film’s teaser has been released by its US distributor, Mondo Macabro.
And holy shit, was that terrible. Not “terrible” in a “so bad it’s bound to be awesome kind of like Snakes On A Plane-terrible,” but just “terrible-terrible.”
I don’t know, there’s something about scoring Filipino movies that makes it seem like they’ve been using the same intruments and technology since the 1980s. The cinematography is beautiful, though. But it was poorly paced and THERE WERE NO TITS.
Considering how they’ve initially marketed this as an erotic gorefest, they should’ve went for the jugular and released a 2-minute red band montage of blood and tits. I’m hoping that that would be the case when they shell out a new trailer.
